300gsm A4 Printing assists Beauty Spa in Promoting New Event

She needed a unique idea that would bring in fresh customers. Sarah had been juggling with the idea of printing an A4 leaflet for her new event for the last couple of months. Sarah couldn't believe her eyes when she saw that a beauty salon down south had already had her idea, and were promoting it with A4 print, it made her determined to get her idea off the ground. Their A4 leaflets design was very snazzy and she took one to help her when she was designing her own.

“When I saw the A4 flyer printing the other business had done, it made me a little angry. However, the good news was that it must work if other people are doing it. The other salon was in a different area as well, so they weren't in direct competition. I scanned the one of the A4 colour flyers in and sent it to my online A4 printers”

Sarah sent it over to the printers and pointed out what she wanted changing on the A4 leaflets. She wanted all her prices and products to go on the A4 flyers as well as her shop logo. However, she liked the general style of the A4 flyer template and wanted something similar on her own flyer.

“They had obviously spent a lot of time on the theme of the A4 colour leaflets. The design made the main message stand out and the pictures used were eye catching. I didn’t want to copy the A4 colour prints exactly, however, it did give me some more ideas on how I could improve on it. I explained to the A4 leaflet printers, the parts of their A4 flyer design I thought were good, and the parts which were not. I wanted both sides of the leaflet to be designed.”

It was very easy for the printers to match the design of the A4 full colour leaflets to expectations. Sarah had pictured in her head what she thought the leaflet would look like. The printer will find it easier if you have a colour scheme in mind, and have a text document with the content you require on the A4 colour print. Usually, the customer will get some samples sent in the post, which have similar designs to the A4 leaflet design they require.

Within a day, the 1st proof for the A4 full colour printing was emailed to Sarah. It was almost precisely what she wanted. She emailed other some of the price changes she required on the A4 double sided leaflets, and one more product was added to the front. Once the approval of the final prove had been made, Sarah started to look at the different qualities of A4 paper printing that could be printed on.

“My beauty salon is quite upmarket, I didn’t want very thin cheap A4 leaflet printing. I was not looking to do a massive leaflet door-to-door marketing campaign. I wanted to use the A4 leaflet as handouts when my regular clients came in. I also wanted my A4 printing to be slightly better quality than the other salon, which was doing a similar service. I am a big advocate of quality, and I think a good quality A4 digital printing really sells the business.”

Sarah studied all the samples she had, she decided to go for 1000 A4 flyers which were 300gsm in weight. This is a very high quality, sturdy, card which feels very good to the touch. She ordered the 300gsm A4 printing.

“I put a special offer on the A4 printing which was that for every party there was a free Indian head massage as an incentive. Me and the rest of the team have handed out 2000 of the A4 leaflets so far to clients, passers by and dropped some off at some of the local shops. We have had a few parties booked, and it really seems to be working very well. Handing out the 1000 A4 flyers has brought in a lot of new custom, but we are also getting a lot of referrals.
