A5 Leaflets help Health Spa to Promote New Service
It had been a long time since she had done any promotions to bring in new businesss. Scribbled down on piece of paper was Julie Bishop's mock up of an A5 flyer she wanted to print. She was shocked when a friend told her that another health spa was now doing a similar service, and were promoting it with A5 printing, it made her determined to get her idea off the ground. She took the A5 flyer design she had found and wanted to get something similar produced.
“After seeing that another company had started the same idea and already had nice A5 flyers printing promoting it made me a little sad. But then I thought that if they’re doing it, then there must be some money in it.The other health spa was in a different area as well, so they wern't in direct competition. The A5 flyer printers asked me to scan the A5 print in and send it other to them”
Julie sent over to the printers and pointed out what she wanted changing on the A5 leaflets. She wanted all her prices and products to go on the A5 flyer as well as her shop logo. However, she liked the general style of the A5 leaflet template and wanted something similar on her own flyer.
“They had obviously spent a lot of time on the theme of the A5 full colour leaflets. The design made the main message stand out and the pictures used were eye catching. Copying the A5 leaflet printing exactly would copyright and also unethical, however, it did give me some more ideas on how I could improve on it. I explained to the A5 printers, the parts of their leaflet I thought were good, and the parts which wre not. I asked them to design the front and the back of the leaflet.”
It was very easy for SK Print Design to match the design for the A5 leaflets to expectations. Julie knew exactly what she wanted. The printer will find it easier if you have a colour scheme in mind, and what content they would like on the A5 colour printing. Most of the time, the customer will get some samples sent in the post, which have similar designs to the A5 flyer printing they require.
Within a day, the 1st proof for the A5 colour leaflets was emailed to Julie. It was almost precisely what she wanted. All that needed changing was a few of the prices on the back of the A5 leaflets, and another service was put on the back. Once the approval of the final prove had been made, Julie looked at some samples of different A5 leaflet paper that she could print on.
“Our Boutique serves the top end of the market, I didn’t want very thin cheap A5 leaflet printing. I didnt need tens of thousands of leaflets, as I wasn't doing a big leaflet drop. I wanted to use the A5 leaflets as handouts when my regular clients came in. It was important to me that the A5 printing was of a thicker paper than the other boutique, which was doing a similar service. Quality is very important to me, really nice A5 flyer printing shows that your business is doing well.”
After looking at a variety of samples that she received through the post, eventually she set her mind on 170gsm A5 leaflets. This is a very high quality, sturdy, card like material that radiates high quality. Julie decided that 5000 A5 leaflets would be enough.
“In the top right hand corner of the A5 leaflets, I had a special coupon that could be used to get a free Indian head massage at every party that was booked. Me and the rest of the team have handed out 2000 of the A5 leaflets so far to clients, friends, family and dropped some off at some of the local shops. We have had a few parties booked, and it really seems to be working very well. The 5000 A5 flyers has provided the starting point, but but now we are getting a lot of their friends coming along as well. [The 170gsm A5 flyers printing is such good quality that we have actually reused them when people have brought them in!|When people have given us the 170gsm A5 flyers printing, they still looked in perfect condition so we have even started reusing them!”
