130gsm A6 Flyers help out Newly Started Driving School up and running
Time and time again, Thomas Nash had seen other drving schools sell their services through A6 printing, so he decided to give it a shot. With only a small amount of money to spend on his new venture, he was looking for the cheapest A6 flyer print.
“I was looking for the cheapest way to get my business out there to as many people as possible. This was a new idea, I did not want to spend a huge amount on A6 colour flyers and put all my eggs in one basket” Thomas explained.
After receiving some leaflet samples in the post, the best option he could see was the A6 flyer size. The dimensions of an A6 leaflet is 105x148mm. This is just big enough to put your contact details and a little bit of information about your business and what it does. The cheapest A6 flyers that are available are on 130gsm gloss. 130gsm A6 flyers are high quality and cheap A6 flyer printing for start up businesses.
“I received some samples of the cheap A6 flyers in the post from the A6 flyer printers. A6 printing could be done in several weights of paper. The thickest was 400gsm that was like a hard card. I didn’t think it was necessary to go for the best quality straight away, so eventually I opted for A6 leaflets on 130gsm gloss. These were the cheapest A6 flyers, and the quality was still pretty good for the price.”
After exploring the alternatives of doing the A6 flyer design himself or hiring a professional designer, he settled on paying for the professional design services of one side of the A6 leaflet. However, he still wanted to get the design printed on either side of a double sided A6 leaflet, since it is important to get both sides of the leaflet printed on for leaflet distribution. The reason for this is that during leaflet distribution, 50% of the leaflets will land face down and therefore advertise nothing. This will drastically reduce the chances of anyone picking it up and reading it. Leaflet distribution is a numbers game, the tiniest changes can really effect response rate.
“At first I was adamant that I could design the leaflet myself. I spent hours prating about with a design on Word. I was advised that the picture I used on the A6 flyers would look pixelated. After showing it to some friends they said it looked like I had designed it, and although I did want to keep costs down, it was a waste of money to spend a fortune on printing a rubbish design. In the end I opted to just have one side of the A6 leaflet professionally designed. The design would be printed on both sides of the leaflet, because it wouldn’t change the cost of printing.”
Thomas received the 1st proof the day after sending his design brief, and he requested that the photo used to be changed, and his phone number to be changed. The design was amended and emailed back to him. Once it was approved the leaflets went off to print.
“I couldn’t wait to get my A6 flyers in the mail, when I got them I was ecstatic. The leaflets felt and looked fantastic. I felt very proud that I had 10,000 A6 flyers with my company name sprawled across. Full of enthusiasm, I walked up and down the streets for the 12 days posting my A6 leaflets, which was harder than I thought! All the leaflets had my contact details on, and I took calls and booked lessons as I got responses. After all the A6 flyers had been distributed, I had, had 23 calls in total. This was enough to get my business up and running. I am now starting to get referred by those people, so it has resulted in many more clients. The A6 flyer printing more than paid for itself. Next time I intend to get at least 20,000 A6 flyers printed. However, on this occasion, both sides of the leaflet are getting designed!”
