170gsm A6 Flyers help out Newly Started Piano Class get up and running
One of the ways Ling Bai used to promote his new piano classes was through getting some A6 printing done. With only a small amount of money to spend on his new venture, he was looking for the cheapest A6 flyer print.
“I was looking for the cheapest way to get my business out there to as many people as possible. This was a new idea, I did not want to spend a huge amount on A6 colour flyers and put all my eggs in one basket” Ling explained.
Some samples of different leaflets were sent to him in the mail and he decided to go for the A6 flyer size. A6 leaflets are 105x148mm in size. A leaflet this size allows you enough space to display all your main details like address, number and some info on what your company does. The cheapest A6 flyers that are available on 170gsm gloss can be found at SK Print Design. 170gsm A6 flyers are high quality and a cheap A6 flyer printing solution for start up businesses.
“The A6 flyer printers sent some samples of the cheap A6 flyers in the mail. A6 printing could be done in several weights of paper. The thickest was 400gsm that was like a hard card. I didn’t think it was necessary to go for the best quality straight away, so eventually I opted for A6 leaflets on 170gsm gloss. The cheapest A6 flyers that were printed on this material were from SK Print Design.”
After looking at the ups and downs of creating the A6 flyer design using his own skills and paying a graphic designer, he settled on paying for the professional design services of one side of the A6 leaflet. However, he still wanted to get the design printed on either side of a double sided A6 leaflet, this is because it can double your response rate from leaflet distribution. The reason for this is that during leaflet distribution, 50% of the leaflets will land face down and therefore advertise nothing. This hugely decreases the amount of potential clients who will actually pick the leaflet up. Leaflet distribution is a numbers game, and small changes can make a big difference.
“At first I was adamant that I could design the leaflet myself. The best I could do was a poor effort in Word! The printers looked at my design and told me that the picture was too low res for print. My design also looked very much like a start-up business, and although I did want to keep costs down, it was a waste of money to spend a fortune on printing a rubbish design. I couldnt afford to have both sides of the A6 leaflet designed professionally, so I just went for one side. The design would be printed on both sides of the leaflet, because it wouldn’t change the cost of printing.”
The 1st proof of the design was sent to Ling the next day, and he asked for another picture to be added, and a few more sentences to be added to the back. The changes were made and sent back to him for approval. Ling sent back his approval for the design and the leaflet printing began.
“When my A6 flyers arrive I couldn’t wait to open them. The leaflets felt and looked fantastic. I felt very proud that I had 10,000 A6 flyers with my company name sprawled across. I spent the next 11 days handing out the A6 leaflets myself in the local area, which was harder than I thought! All the leaflets had my contact details on, and every now and again my phone would ring whilst I was handing the leaflets out. In total I had 19 responses from the A6 flyers. The response was big enough to get my company started. I am now starting to get referred by those people, so it has resulted in many more clients. The A6 flyer printing more than paid for itself. I am now planning to get another 40,000 A6 flyers printed this year. This time though, both sides of the leaflet are getting designed!”
